The team was formerly the New Orleans Jazz but was monetarily ineffective and moved to Utah. The Jazz were one of the most victorious teams in the late 1980s and 1990s, assembly it to two NBA Finals in 1997 and 1998 under coach Jerry Sloan.

The Utah Jazz is a much trained basketball team based in Salt Lake City, Utah. They play in the National Basketball Association (NBA). They are the only main league franchise in the state of Utah and because they have the state's name.

The Utah Jazz acquires their start as the New Orleans Jazz in 1974. The Jazz were the 18th team to join the NBA, and have quality players such as John Stockton, Adrian Dantley, Darryl Griffith, and Karl Malone.
